The Blvd Collective is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) that provides free meals, clothing, and essentials to Indianapolis's unhoused community through pop-up shops located directly on the streets of downtown Indy. By partnering with senior communities to assemble meals, we engage seniors ("golden agers") in meaningful volunteer work that fosters intergenerational connections. This approach nourishes the unhoused while combating isolation among seniors, creating a stronger, more connected community.
What Is BLVD THE COLLECTIVE?
The Blvd Collective is a unique pop-up store dedicated to supporting Indianapolis’s less fortunate with nutritious meals and seasonally appropriate clothing. Each month, our committed volunteers set up a welcoming boutique on the streets, creating an inviting space where members of the unhoused community can enjoy a complimentary lunch and a dignified, personal shopping experience.
Our mission goes beyond simply providing meals and clothing. We partner with local senior communities, where seniors ("golden agers") participate in the preparation process by assembling meals in an assembly-line format. This collaboration not only brings nutritious food to those in need but also empowers seniors by giving them a meaningful role in their community and a chance to make a difference.
With every pop-up event, our goal is for each guest to leave with a complete outfit, a nourishing meal, and an uplifted spirit. Through these efforts,The Blvd Collective aims to meet essential needs while restoring dignity and hope in the lives of those we serve. Together, we’re creating connections, breaking barriers, and fostering compassion throughout Indianapolis.
